Kerry has been teaching Art since 2005…
Kerry finished her Visual Art Degree off with a Bachelor of Teaching and went straight into teaching at secondary schools around Aotearoa. Since then she has taught at a range of schools and after moving to the Gold Coast with her whanau in 2014 she has been teaching primary, special needs and secondary school Art.
In 2023 her and her whanau went on a seven-month trip around Europe and upon returning decided to use her experience in education to start up her own art studio and art practice.
2024 opened the door to new ideas and ventures and Heartful Art studio was created. It is a work in progress and offers art-based NDIS support, art workshops and lessons from the home studio as well as after school art courses from the local high school art room.
Kerry is passionate about teaching Art, she is all heart and loves to let children and young adults discover their creativity through play and self-expression in a fun and supportive environment.
